On May 3rd, 1985, the day Natalie Weiss entered the world, her mom commented on a distinct feature. "Look at those long piano player fingers," she said. Holding his new baby girl, her dad added, "I hope she inherited my perfect pitch." It wouldn't be long before those musical genes started to show their colors.

Natalie's musical inclinations were evident at an early age. By age four, she was enrolled in piano and dance lessons and soon after started playing the alto saxophone, trumpet, and drums. Throughout elementary/middle school, Natalie was often targeted as 'instrument girl'. Though she was often teased by her peers, that did not stop her. Natalie's love for mimicking her favorite artists such as Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, and Madonna eventually motivated her to audition for school talent shows and local community theatres.

Natalie's love for performing flourished throughout the next few years. She went to a performing arts camp for five Summers (French Woods Festival), attended a performing arts high school for half of the day, became involved with all of the musicals at school, and sang the national anthem at many sporting events. One of Natalie's proudest accomplishments was winning the Papermill Playhouse Rising Star Award, the equivalent of a Tony Award for New Jersey high schools. She was named Best Actress for her portrayal of Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors.

After finishing her freshman year in the BFA musical theatre program at Penn State University, Natalie decided to try her luck at American Idol, season 4. She ended up making it to the Hollywood rounds as a semi-finalist and was featured on national television.

Throughout her time at Penn State, she truly learned how to hone her craft. Her excellent training paid off when she was cast in the ensemble of the prestigious Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera (PCLO) performing in shows such as Cats(Jellylorum) and 42nd Street(Gladys) and as the understudy of Cosette in North Shore Music Theatre's production of 'Les Mis'.

It was during Natalie's senior year of college that she began to get widespread notice through YouTube. This occurred rather innocently; During an informal concert, Natalie's friend recorded her performance of "And I Am Telling You" from Dreamgirls and posted it on the well-known website. To her surprise, within a few weeks there was an explosion of views and requests for more clips! Things started skyrocketing and she was getting more acclaim than she ever anticipated.

Upon moving to New York City in 2007, opportunities started flooding in, as a result of her increasing youtube following. Her first big break was stepping in for Eden Espinosa in Scott Alan's concert at Birdland. Following the success of Scott's concert, Natalie performed in numerous concerts and readings, and recorded many demos for new composers. She has had the privilege of collaborating with many talented writers such as Scott Alan, Andrew Lippa, Ryan Scott Oliver, Jason Robert Brown, Jeff Blumenkrantz, Jonathan Reid Gealt, Michael Kooman, Chris Dimond, Jeff Thomson, Jordan Mann, Zina Goldrich, Marcy Heisler, Jeremy Schonfeld, PaulFfujimoto, Adam Gwon, Bobby Cronin, Brian Feinstein and Charlie Sohne.

Natalie recently returned from the 2nd national tour of Wicked, performing in the ensemble and understudying Elphaba. When Natalie is not auditioning or performing, she works as a vocal coach in New York City.
